I know the first thought in everyone's head is its never ok to lie, because we've been taught not to. But sometimes it really is the only way out. and sometimes to me, i think its right. cuz i can't think of any serious situation right now, ill give u something simple. like when u need to plan a surprise party ur gonna hav to lie a lot to the person the party is for, so that things can go as u planned. but on a serious note do u think it is ever ok to lie?
Overall, I don't think lying is a very good practice; however, there are times that lying is acceptable. I like the comments regarding santa claus and the easter bunny (I hadn't really thought about those). But, my opinion is that there are other times to lie. In particular, I'm talking about the "white" lies, such as telling someone that the dinner they cooked tastes good, when really, it's on the borderline of terrible. Hurting other people just to "never lie" seems a little cruel to me.
